Facts. Behind Bars is a dope album too. The Ruler’s Back can be hit or miss but I like a few joints.

You are kinda right...Kinda.

Problem was, the records that were gonna be the smashes were put out before it got around to his release.

- The joint with Snoop was put out as Kid Capri's single
- Canibus already used that Pete Rock beat, and then Xzibit and The Alkaholiks dug it back up and killed it again,
so it wasn't new by the time Rick got it
- "Impress The Kid" was a decent story, but it was already on the Rush Hour Soundtrack
- "Street Talkin'" was aight, but it wasn't as dope an Outkast collab as "Da Art Of Storytellin'"

But outside of that:

- "Kill Nigg-z" was a cut that I wasn't crazy about at first, but it grew on me
- The Nas joint was cool, I liked that beat
- Dame Grease was on fire at that time, and that beat was creepy...if that song was about anything else, it might've
been received better. Maybe.

Which Pete Rock joint are you talking about?
