I'm curious if he's lost his ear for beats. It happens. Because I don't know how he heard these and was like "this is it".

The first one isn't so bad but it's the exact same Parliament loop as "Me, Myself And I". Might as well rap over "Atomic Dog" in 2019.

This feels all over the place, I dont really know what Slick is going for here. Hes put them up on Spotify too, second track is only 1.30 long.

Hopefully this leads to some new music and some more complete songs. He's still enjoyable to listen to and is clearly still having fun though

rick actually murders it.
then the bside kicks it and we get where and what JAY was never good at biting. Which gives us a great reminder.
that this is slick rick and slick rick on this is actually dope.

the me myself and i take can be a bit oftputting. Yet rick is charming enough to get past the revisit to dela's platinum selling sample choice.
being a completely jarring break at the beginning. Slick rick's content, mic presence and skill carries this completely.

A lot of the comments on youtube confirming my suspicions that a lot of 'real heads' don't fukk with golden era hip-hop like that

Last thing in the world I wanna hear is Slick Rick over modern production or trying to keep up with the times in any way

So many legends came back doing that...its never good 99% of the time

2019 ain't about nothing that a legend should be pressed to conform to music or dress wise
