The fantastic vol 2?!??!??

My top 5 hip hop album. Maybe number 2 after illmatic. It transformed how I listen and did music. No, slum village weren't super lyrical but their songs were well written with flows, bridges, hooks and melodies with rhymes. It wasn't what they said but how they said it. They made it flow. J dilla on the cuts. I was more sadden by this groups break up than tribe. And now both Dilla and Baatin gone. Just sad. They made really really really great hip hop.

Its in my top 5 also. I agree with everything you posted. They were not the best lyrical group but with how the songs were created, shyt was just dope :stylin:
