I feel like Slutty Vegan been getting a lot of bad press lately. Them and that Turkey Leg Hut. Real talk everything with our ppl always seems like a hustle with no longevity. And eventually the rug always gets pulled .

I’ve never been or seen menu prices so I’m only speaking generally. Being a vegan restaurant it should be expected that the prices are higher as making restaurant style meals vegan costs more ingredient wise.

I’m sure that’s the case with a lot of enterprises, but “white man’s ice is colder” also plays a part. A lot of us are critical about black owned business in a manner that we aren’t with non-black owned businesses. the scrutiny for us is sometimes amplified

I think restaurants are a bad investment unless you have private equity behind you and can franchise. The margins are very small.

A single burger can cost you around $17 by itself. The shyt don't even include fries or a drink. Fries like $3 and drinks vary.

Also, I'm not even vegan, so it feels like a waste of money.

You offer the campus a quality vegan meal option while understanding that it is coming in at a higher price. There are other options available on campus. Shouldn't really be an issue.

You have to know your demographics. Those prices are fine at Georgetown or Michigan. You can't get away with that at an HBCU.

That’s really not crazy for a vegan option especially when a burger at a chain restaurant is like 14-15 dollars or more. I guess the only misstep would be being on a college campus.
