Dark match: Brad Maddox (in short trunks with GM in giant letters on the back) beat El Locale. Maddox was pretty funny, doing mic work to get heat beforehand saying it was good to be in Liverpool. Crowd ended up cheering Maddox.
For WWE Main Event tomorrow:
Natalya beat AJ Lee by DQ, when Tamina interfered. AJ placed Natalya in the Black Widow afterwards and left Natalya crying. She was consoled backstage by Tyson Kidd.
Justin Gabriel beat Tyson Kidd after a roll up. Kidd was angry afterwards & teased not shaking Gabriel's hand, but eventually did.
The Union Jacks (Slater & McIntyre) beat the Prime Time Players. Crowd cheered both teams. PTP had RTruth in their corner.
A clip from a Michael Cole WWE.com interview with Mr Kane aired. Kane talked about how he now controlled the monster within him & was evolving.
For Smackdown:
An interesting note is in the opening video package recapping the end of Raw, they cut out the entire Wyatts brawling with Shield part.
1 Luke Harper & Erick Rowan beat the Usos.
There was an amusing backstage segment with RTruth & Titus ONeill rapping, with Darren Young singing 'We are the World'.
Ryback & Axel were backstage. Ryback made it clear he was upset with Heyman's comments about him on Raw.
2 Natalya beat Tamina via sharpshooter.
3 Prime Time Players & RTruth beat The Union Jacks.
Even-Steven booking on the same taping.
4 John Cena beat Alberto Del Rio in an arm wrestling match. Cena was heavily booed & got loud boring chants during his pre-match promo, which he acknowledged. Cena beat ADR quickly twice, so ADR put him through the table.
A Total Divas clip aired of Cameron driving with Naomi & Jimmy Uso, only to be cut up by another driver. Cameron got out of her car & confronted the other driver & threw a drink at the car. Jimmy dragged her away.
5 Naomi & Cameron beat the Bellas.
Punk & Bryan did a backstage promo calling themselves The Beard & The Best.
5 Great Khali beat Hunico & Camacho in a handicap match.
6 CM Punk & Bryan went to no contest with Ryback & Axel when Bryan had Ryback in the yes lock, only for the Wyatts to come out. When the lights came on Punk & Bryan had disappeared. Wyatts beat up Axel & Ryback instead. Punk & Bryan came out from under the ring & dropkicked the Wyatts then ran away. Show ended here.
Dark main event saw Vickie & Maddox come out, saying Cena was injured & was forfeiting the title to Del Rio. Cena came out & said he was ready to go.
7 John Cena beat Del Rio quickly with William Regal as special referee. Regal decked Del Rio leading to the pin, then laid out Maddox afterwards as well. Regal raised Cena's arm & praised him, then surprisingly clotheslined him. Big crowd pop for that. Regal tried for a running knee, but Cena laid him out with an AA. Tony Chimel entered the ring to declare Cena still champion, only for Cena to give him an AA too. Cena left, Regal took some applause & Chimel was being helped out. Cena ran down to the ring again, brought Chimel back into the ring & gave him another AA. Cena then did a thank you speech.
Overall an okay show. Crowd was dead for the 1st hour but came alive for Smackdown.
Dark match/segment sounds comical.
