Hotwire + Hotwire promo codes on Groupon. I use it all the time. Hotwire has basically made it so easy to know which hotel you are getting now.

Last place I went was San Diego. Got a 3.5 Star hotel at $760+ for 7 nights. Regular price would have been $1120+.

My uncle used to work for Marriott and put me down as his son so I can get the employee rate. From 2005 to 2016 I was just reprinting and photoshopping the expiration date on the form. Then one day I booked a room and the front desk said "Oh, we don't take these anymore. It's all done online now. What's his employee code?"
That nikka had quit like 8yrs prior. I was just using the form. And that, was that. End of that run but it was a damn good run. Employee discount at all Marriott and affiliated properties. Even overseas.

So I went to the Marriot forum and found out that they check the system for the employee information. He aint worked there in like 13years so it wont go through if they check his info. Also, the form I had said Room Rate Discount Auth Form at the top and the new ones have changed to say Explore Rate Discount Auth Form. Just the fact that they confirm the employee ID number as active means it wont work anymore.
