Have you set your computer to automatically configure its IP address using DHCP? This is the default, but it may have been turned off somewhere along the way. Go to System Preferences > Network > AirPort > TCP/IP and make sure 'Configure IPv4' is set to 'Using DHCP'.

You already ran a diagnostic after resting your router for 30 seconds?

Why not just call your provider?

Try this as well. Go to System Prefs -> Network -> Locations -> New Location

Then try configuring your network one more time from the new location

Myself. fukk 12(1)!
What do you mean by "it died"? When someone says this, to me it means that they can't even get the computer to turn back on. What error message (if any) did you receive when you first restarted it?

go into System preferences> Security>firewall then turn it off to "allow all incoming connections".

Then turn your airport off.

Then turn it back on again.

You should now be able to connect to the web.

Then you need to go back and turn your firewall back on (very important!).
