If I was exclusive with someone, yes I would expect a gift..It doesnt have to be extravagant..but it should convey some sort of feeling behind it...to let me know that he did make an effort.

i agree. but i was raised JW so i might be biased. a gift is nice just for the thought ....but the demanding certain things and talking about your "demands" months in advance has always seemed a tad narcissistic. it also seems to completely miss the point of the "gift" altogether. but whatever maybe i just don't get it
