Fresno Man’s Odd Mugshot Makes Rounds on Social Media
A Fresno man was arrested Monday for possession of firearms and cultivation of marijuana, but it’s his tattoo-covered booking photo that sets the arrest apart.
Khamprasong Thammavong, 33, was pulled over by the Southeast Violent Crime Impact Team. After Thammavong into custody, officers conducted a probation search at the suspect’s home, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.
The officers found photographs of Thammavong holding firearms, including a semi-automatic rifle and a semi-automatic handgun. They then located actual guns matching those in the photographs, but these guns were not registered to Thammavong. Narcotics and unlicensed marijuana were also discovered inside the house.
Further research proved that Thammavong is a documented member of the Laos Blood gang, police said.
Thammavong was booked into Fresno County Jail. Narcotic detectives and code enforcement officials are continuing the investigation.
