Did I say it didn't? How many promos do you remember Eddie cutting while heading the LWO? Eddie himself admitted to being a terrible promo guy before he came to WWE. I don't see what the issue is here. I didn't say Eddie sucked. He was just an example of a great talent who couldn't talk that smarks used to get mad about not being pushed to the top of companies where talking was more important than working.

WCW was always known as the 'work' territory while WWF was the 'talking' territory. Given Eddie's career arc, I don't see any other conclusion other than the 'smarks' were correct. Eddie was in storylines with Rock Austin & Flair in short order as he joined WWF. You clearly did not include Jericho in your rant for that very reason.

The people that think that are full of shyt and likely the same people that still chant "you can't wrestle" at John Cena.

People have created an alternate history in their mind where Roman has always been hated and Vince just insisted on shoving him down fans throats. The reality is people were ASKING for the push Roman is getting now. There was a time when he was the most over member of the shield and people were cheering for him to win the rumble.

WWE fans are just fickle a$$holes sometimes. They'll beg for someone to be pushed and when they are those same fans flip on the wrestler.

You actually tried to convince yourself this drivel was true.

It would be a stretch for the fans to accept ANYONE main eventing 3 Manias in a row (2 of them being complete ), including already being pencilled in for a 4th, let alone someone getting booed for 10 minutes straight. Hell, even for a guy as over as Bryan it would be a stretch. A dude as hated as Reigns? GTFOH.

I think you missed the point I was making entirely. Eddie didn't get that big push in WWE until after he learned how to be good at promos. He didn't get those Rock/Austin/Flair things until 2 years in, after he had been fired and rehired, and 30 pounds of muscle, and learned how to cut a promo.

It was always about work to the smarks writing into the Observer and talking on AOL message boards back in the day. But now that Roman has the work, they complain about him not having the promos.

Eddie didn't become Latino Heat in the storyline with Chyna as soon as the Radicalz split. Eddie didn't carry that soap opera storyline with mic skills and charisma. My memory must have failed me.

Roman isn't having nowher near the kind of matches was having..hes not having nowhere near the kind of matches Asuka and Sasha have had over and over..no selling and doing Superman punches are the easiest match structure next to the Cena garbage format.

Eddie shined in the storyline as Latino Heat because the mic skills and charisma was already there. He had just joined the company. The 'smarks' were right about Eddie. Vince put Benoit in the main event against Rock within months of joining the company. The 'smarks' were right about Benoit.
