While that is true, we brought McClain in to beef up the line and run defense and he has been below average. I don’t see why he’s not worth a fifth. Riley and Co still need help with the run and Jarrett has been the only consistent defensive linemen on the roster. Takk has in the passing game though. We still haven’t replaced Poe or Clayborn. He’ll get him for the cheap and look at Joseph or PP

It’s only a fifth rounder for a top run stuffer that could help with push up the middle in the passing game. Idk it’s a low risk, high reward. He doesn’t have pretty stats but he’s been dominant on their line. He takes up space and I doubt he can be blocked one on one.

Edit: We can’t afford his contract
