Snapped on this punk at my job and walked out. Was I wrong? You think I'm fired?

I'm 21 out here working at McDonald's. Total dead end but it's 15 an hour now so I'm not trippin.

Tonight I'm on drive through and dude comes through screaming in the speaker. I ask dude to chill out and he says some disrespectful shyt back. I told him to get the fukk on (so I kinda started it).

He pulls up to the window. Explains he was on the phone or whatever and asks me to please take the order. Im like "alright bruh, no disrespect but you were screaming in my ear"

Boom I take dudes order. Try to be all professional and courteous and shyt. Give dude his change and he tries to throw the pennies back in the window at me. I got reflexes so I caught them and threw them in his face.

He's like "fukk your McDonald's job nikka come outside now" at this point I'm turnt. Slammed the window and head outside to beat the fukk out this nikka. Manager gets in my face "cake if you go out that door you're fired!" Walked around the female and went outside. bytch nikka got scared and scraped off soon as I came out.

I go back inside and get my shyt to leave. Manager is like "you know I don't actually have the ability to fire you right"

I'm like "just count up my till so I can go home. Not working anymore tonight".

She ignored me I guess she was hoping I would calm down. I said fukk it and left. I was too turnt up I would ended up getting into it with another disrespectful customer.

But now I'm at a loss. Was I wrong? You think I'm fired? If not you think I should just quit? Seems like I'm too irrational to work a customer service position. And I'm embarrassed about my actions I totally snapped out. Hard to even look my coworkers in the face after behaving like that. Another reason I left early.

You overreacted and shouldn't have let the customer get to you. Your money is more important than one man's ignorance.

You're probably fired but it doesn't hurt to go back, exaggerate and blame the customer, lament what happened and try to move on with your manager.

Just place all the blame of the customer's egregious behavior and make it seem like you had no choice. Only say what you are forced to say, and nothing else.

Don't fukk up your money again because of bullshyt. Customers don't lose anything for provoking you a thousand times. You, however, can lose everything for improperly responding but once. Remember why you are there and why your end goal is. This is just the process by which you accumulate capital to meet your goal, whatever that is.

I hope it works out OP. People who are rude to employees in the customer service sector are azzholes of the highest order. And don't put yourself down for an honest day's work. Especially at $15/hr. That's pretty good for a part time job.

I hope it works out best for you but you did lose your cool a bit. In a job like that, once these fukkboys pay you and pull out he drive thru, they gotta exit your mind, they're irrelevant now.

Whether you like the job or not, keeping your nexus of control and restraint is important in any job you have, whether it be temporary or your dream job.

You have any special skills? Photoshop? Cooking? Really any special skill (something less than 30% of people are good at) and you can make a job outta it. Good luck breh
