I always thought he bricked on purpose to try and get off DR and reunite with Dre.
There were way doper cuts he ignored or removed from the final version plus you know it wasn't all fun and games for the blue crew when the Piru do what they do. Add in the friction with Pac over the West/getting all the beats and attention, Dre leaving etc... It seems viable that Snoop was trying to get dropped without actually getting dropped. Pew! Pew!
Anyone remember Suges A1 troll game after this with the whole "Every dog has his day", leaking his album the dropping Dead Man Walking and publishing the address to Snoops house and all other kinds of F-ery.

Supposedly he made changes to what tracks he wanted to appear on the album right after 2pac died. Doggfather leftovers > the actual album.
