she's been dealing with a deadly, painful, debilitating disease with no cure since age 10??? Just had a nephew die at 10 days old. Parent's marital problems constantly playing out in the media. Being dark skin and not attractive to you, is probably lower down on the list. Now people gossiping that she's not her father's child because she's "too dark", yeah maybe that has a impact.

Oh I don’t even have time to connect dots between threads today but we all know the deal when it comes to the way many in the black community view anything that is too dark. Especially if it’s female to boot.
Bless her heart and I wish her the best.
She needs to understand that while colorism is a reality and it can make things difficult, there are good black men and women who don’t subscribe to that ignorant shyt. She also needs to limit her time on social media and her and Snoop need to have a heart to heart. He should acknowledge his role in perpetuating Euro beauty standards in the industry and then take strides to negate colorism and self-hate since he has a platform if he hasn’t already done so.
Counseling can help her unpack trauma and ensure she doesn’t resent every blk person she encounters for the ignorance of a few. She also needs to work on divorcing her view of herself from blacks on social media.
Hopefully she hasn’t encountered Heaven Scamuels and others who perpetuate racist ideas about black women being masculine, ugly ect. Because these types of compound issues many young blk girls are already dealing with in a racist white society. Hearing it from a racist white supremacist who will codify their ignorance into laws and policies to ensure your life is hard is one thing. Hearing the same dumb ass shyt repeated out the mouths of blks that LOOK like you while they simultaneously glorifying people that look like racists is a whole nother level of mindfukkery.
Regardless. Keep your head up and remember not all blacks are like that. Many are just struggling themselves to work through social conditioning and self-hate.

The reason we can't have discussions about this shyt is that we end up first having to "unpack" to dense and often unrelated circumstances all rolled together because we want to talk to each other like where in a college hall.She's a young lady (whether she's attractive or not) that is dealign with the hectic lifestyle of being a celebrities child, like another poster already posted, and a physical issue.
I was updating with a video of her talking about "colorism." But, that wasn't in the OP, but, every one jump at the chance to make another "dark skin" black women the victim of black men without that information in the thread.
Nobody is dealing with;

- Social Media
- Euro-Beauty Standards
- Parental Embarassment
- Negative Social Media
- Abandonment from parents
- etc.
She's got the resources to manage both her physical health and mental health and it's cool she felt the need to share that.
