Apparently since 50 is Frigo's brand ambassador Jeter thought that that would make the brand seem too urban and backed out of endorsing it and is being sued by the CEO for $30 mill.

Derek Jeter is being sued for millions by men’s underwear brand Frigo after he pulled out of a deal, citing concerns that brand ambassador 50 Cent would make the brand seem too “urban,” according to TMZ. And Fiddy says he’s now a Mets fan.

The suit filed in Sweden is reportedly asking for $4.7 million in damages. Fiddy, a part owner of the company, posted a picture of Jeter on Instagram Wednesday, writing, “Wow, guess I’m not a Yankees fan anymore. LETS GO METS? Man you can’t trust nobody these days,” along with the acronym for “shaking my head.”

honestly Jeter always comes across as a stand up dude so who knows what he meant by that. on one hand he probably didn't want to be associated with c00nish stereotypes to sell a product or on the other he could of really be on some shyt


Update: Jeta denies the allegations basically saying why would he say that when he was the one that brought 50 to the Frigo people.

“As a major investor, current stockholder and lender to the Company, I am disgusted by (Company CEO Mathias) Ingvarsson's decision to make these false allegations against me in the press, instead of attempting to work out our business dispute in private.”

“I facilitated the introductory meeting between 50 Cent and the company, so it makes absolutely no sense that I would object to 50 Cent being a Frigo brand ambassador or think that 50 Cent is ‘too urban’ for the brand,”
