White rappers like Eminem, The Beastie Boys, Slug (Atmosphere) & Mac Miller? Just for cacs.

Cult groups like the Wu-Tang Clan, The Roots and Odd Future? Just for cacs.

Gangsta rappers like 2pac, Biggie, Snoop, Pusha T / The Clipse, and 50 Cent? Just for cacs.

Nerdy rappers like Del, Tech N9ne, Slaughterhouse and Canibus? Just for cacs.

Ignorant rappers like Jeezy, Gucci Mane and Waka Flaka Flame? Just for cacs. (Pitchfork loves them.)

90's legends like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and Nas? Just for cacs.

80's legends like Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One and Slick Rick? Just for cacs. Old school cacs.

So tell me...who the fukk do black people listen to then? If all these rappers are "just for cacs"? Who's left?

Seems like white people have the best taste in hip-hop.

On this board, "just for cacs" means "Me and my small group of friends don't listen to this rapper, but we represent our race as a whole, and so if we don't listen to them, then no black people do" :yeshrug:

It's one of my least favorite things about the booth, not because i'm super offended (i'm not white), but because it's lazy criticism, like something someone would say if they could't think of anything bad to say about an artist (that actually pertains to their music).

Although at the end of the day the site is jokes, and the "cac nicknames" are great ("Cac Miller", "Andre 3cacs," "Lupe Ficacco", etc.) :russ:

All that being said, I do think there are rappers that tend to attract a more caucasian fan base. For one, popularity is big. Once a rapper reaches a certain point, there will be a lot of white fans, regardless of where they started from or what they rap about. I also think subject matter does come into play here too. If I had to guess, I would say rappers that rap with a pro-black slant and aren't too popular probably have a less caucasian fanbase than others.

I gotta agree for the most part it's a baseless insult that simply means "I don't like em ".

However Macklemore and G Eazy really are just for cacs.

Hell, if the Wu Tang came out today, people would say "its just for cacs"

Black music is now parody status. People think that you gotta be on some Meek Mill or some c00n southern rapper to appeal to the hood these days.
