i haven't seen many threads about it but i've seen plenty of posts saying it's one of the best of the year. i still haven't listened to the whole thing but got 3/4 of the way through it the other day. gonna lay back and sit with it tomorrow front to back

Hip hop typically has a heavy reliance drums.... not this album. Nothing on here has the energy of i aint no joke lol. There is no real hip hop.... it does sound like east coast rap tho

Yes and no, they added drums to very few songs. Majority of the samples are not layered with drums on top. That is why the album has a quiet melow feel to it, no knocking loud drums. Why argue facts? People like heavy drums in hip hop, what dont u get? Do u hear bangers on here?

there's actually a bit of a style going right now where there are very minimal drums or no drums at all added to the sample/loop. in some cases i don't think it quite works but a lot of times it does. it's something new and exciting for Hip Hop IMO. i like smackin drums as much as the next guy but it can be dope if done right
Listen u old goofy fakkit... hip hop and hard drums is the typical set up in the genre... we're used to beats that knock the dust off yo speakers, heavy percussion is king in hip hop.
