Puff was an A&R for Uptown Records and worked with Heavy D, Father MC, Mary J Blige, Jodeci, Christopher Williams, Guy, Little Shawn, Al B Sure ECT and was working with them all, matter of fact Uptown Records was Bad Boy before Bad Boy Puff took the blueprint with him when he left.

At that time Puff brought Biggie with him to Uptown Records with the intention to sign him to the label, for Biggie Smalls was on Who's The Man Soundtrack that was released on Uptown Records.

And it was said Biggie Ghost Wrote for Father MC on that joint that had a young Jodeci blowing on the track and He ghost wrote for Lil Shawn So it wouldn't be far fetched that Biggie Ghost Wrote Heavy D.

When Puff and Andrell Hall clashed and Puff left Uptown Records, Puff took Biggie with him
