Bodyguard Steve Stanulis, who was 'fired by Mr West for speaking to the rapper's wife Kim Kardashian', opened up about the 'bizarre' demands made by his former boss as he revealed staff can only wear black, are not allowed to touch him and can expect to be fired within days.

The professional bodyguard quipped: 'I had to look after his toddler daughter once and it was so much easier than babysitting the father. He's ten times worse than what you see.

'You just never knew what would trigger a meltdown.'

He explained how the rapper refused to press his own lift buttons, asked guards not to talk when he was present, sulked when forced to sit in the front seat of a car and 'never' apologised.

The bodyguard, who has also minded Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio and Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire, continued: 'I was amazed by the amount of bizarre behaviour I saw in just two weeks. Imagine what must go on over a year.'

He said Kanye had an air of self importance when dealing with people who worked for him and could hardly be bothered to exchange more than a few words with his security detail.

The super-rich rapper stands accused of failing to offer his bodyguards even a glass of water when he dines out in top restaurants while being watched over.

'As I was walking up to Kim and the room (within touching distance of Kardashian), Kanye walked by.

'He came from around the corner and saw me walking towards the room. I turned around and said "Hey Mr West… how you doing?"

He said the superstar rapper failed to return the greeting, glared at him and walked past him.

Stanulis added: 'He went to the door and slammed it. I thought that was okay. So I went back downstairs. I told the driver I had no idea what was going on.'

Within minutes one of Kanye's senior staff called him and told him he would not be needed any more, effectively firing him on the spot.
Shortly after, he was told to standby as they were ready to leave the Waldorf for the Met Gala, but the couple slipped out without their hired guard and left him stranded.

He never saw them again and headed home to his wife Lisa and family.

'They just left me and I had been waiting for them all day as their security' he said.

He said Kanye didn't like the door being opened for him and could lose it if his bodyguards were in TV shots with him.

Kanye also had been known to jump into a car with his entourage and leave his bodyguard to find a cab and follow.

'He's a bit condescending and when I was in the studio with him, people were walking on egg shells around him. It is almost like he can turn on a dime any second. '

On one occasion last February, Kanye got angry over a late-night food delivery and rowed with a member of his inner circle on the telephone and stormed out of his music studio.

Stanulis, who has one-year-old twins, said he went after the angry rapper in his own car and caught up with him on the West Side Highway near speeding traffic.

But the rapper demanded that Stanulis remove the two baby seats in the rear of the car before he got in.
