I've seen a couple shows on ID TV saying he is most likely innocent based on the facts surrounding the case. After the recent situation with the LAPD and corruption, do you still think he is innocent? or guilty?

there's no clear evidence he is not guilty but that don't mean he didn't do it, it just means they have yet to prove who the perpetrator is.

if the state can't prove who the perpetrator is i rather see a killer walking around freely than an innocent man in jail:ehh:

i saw pretty much over 90% of the case and testimony on tv.

i thought he was not guilty then and i still feel the same today.

2 things that sealed it for me:

OJ's forensics lawyers; barry scheck and peter neufeld's dismantling of the prosecution's DNA evidence. they went into the mishandling of the blood samples in regard to its collection (contamination) and to procedural contamination at the laboratories. this was the first time that the public by-and-large, got to see how easily mistakes can happen either by negligence or misconduct.

f.lee bailey's dismantling of LAPD detective mark fuhrman. bailey was able to believably show (at least to me and the jury), that mark fuhrman was a liar that had a vendetta. he made fuhrman testify that he's never used the word "******," only to hit him with a recording of him using the word. it was eye opening to some when ultimately fuhrman in his later testimony had to plead the 5th even to the question that asked for his name.

those of us that were aware that not all police were saints, could see the possibility of how evidence could be tampered with by crooked cops to make someone appear guilty - oj's "dream team" systematically brought forth how it could not only happen, but that it probably did happen and that there was not enough evidence to convict oj beyond a reasonable doubt.

Forget the verdict for a minute.

Seeing cac squirm over the verdict because the justice system they built failed. Priceless. :ohlawd:

What are the burden of proof differences between criminal and civil cases

Answer:
Criminal case: Decided by "Proof of guilt beyond a REASONABLE doubt." Civil case: Decided by "A preponderance of the evidence." NOTE: in the criminal case the standard is NOT proof beyond ALL doubt, only beyond a REASONABLE doubt. In Civil cases the word "preponderance" means the "weight" of the evidence.

there was enough reasonable doubt to believe oj was not guilty.

to some, being black is enough weight of evidence to prove guilt. fortunately, that system does not hold true for criminal law :whoa: at least not by the book. :whew:

Oj simpson killed goldman and nicole brown simpson

Johnny cochran did a brilliant job of changing the focus from the evidence to mark furhman's racist history and saying oj was framed. Those dumb fukk jurors bought it and oj walks from a double murder conviction

But his dumb ass couldn't lay low and is now locked up until 2016 so karma got him regardless
