Well, I will be having dinner with my family, as usual, but this year we're having it at my uncle's wife's family crib, basically with my in-laws.

Low-key, I hope the food is good, we were told to each bring a dish. Last year, my grandmother on my pop's side hosted dinner, and you couldn't believe what we ate...

She didn't make a traditional turkey; rather, she made turkey necks, greens, cornbread, sweet potatoes, and a few other things like pies, cakes, etc. It was a boring old folks style of meal, I excused it since I love her but dayum that was the worst Thanksgiving meal I've ever had, and I don't recall eating much:mjlol:.

Usually whenever a family member on my mom's side is hosting/cooking, we'll have good shyt from turkey, ham (I don't eat pork tho), beef ribs, pork ribs, baked ziti, mac and cheese, greens, homemade baked beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, deviled eggs, etc and not to mention, so many delicious sweets.

One dish I couldn't believe was missing was mac and cheese :gucci:, c'mon now, a Black Thanksgiving with no mac and cheese, nah that's sacrilegious, more often than not that's the star of the night on Thanksgiving in most households, well at least for Black folks it is:pachaha:

my sister always host thanksgiving. I always host christmas. at least that's how it's been for the past 11 years now. that said, I'll be getting up super early tomorrow to put a couple slabs of ribs on the smoker. make cranberry sauce from scratch. and since my daughters are here they are making banana pudding.

he's nice on the grills, so he will spatchcock and smoke a turkey and maybe make a brisket or ham I'm thinking. my sister will handle the mac and cheese and homemade rolls. my brother makes the cream spinach and cake. and my mom will handle the greens.
