supposedly that big gold belt has been around far longer than the WWE belt but i know what you mean

One has been in WWE since 2002 and was literally handed to Triple H, the other one was held by Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold and The Rock. WWE.com only counts the Big Gold Belt's history back to 2002.

I like the WHC, It has more history and is way better looking than WWE title but The E looks down on it, Why else would they have that title match go on first on PPVs

The WHC has way more history, but when WWE took ownership of it, they probably wouldn't have had much interest in keeping it around except for the fact that it would come in handy with the Raw/Smackdown brand split.

This of course was when they actually thought they were gonna stick to that brand split. Since they really haven't, they probably don't need to keep that title anymore. Maybe they don't want to hurt the feelings of the wrestling purists and historians by trashing it. Or maybe having all kinds of belts is a good way to get all kinds of dudes over.

The big gold belt is just straight up the Intercontinental belt meaning, its for guys they are considering for the WWE belt, you know the real belt . The Intercontental belt is demoted to a placeholder type belt to me for guys that are up and comers. US belt is kind of the same way.
