It's too bad they gave PTP that little run awhile back...ND could have already had the record I think.
Hindsight is 20/20 of course....
Right now, they either give them the record and get that notch under their belt, OR, they build up the fact that they are going to break it...and have a heel group go over them for massive heat. Honestly, the second option would probably make for more drama storytelling wise.....but they would need a group worthy of it. If they are just gonna have a heel group go over for a useless swerve that results in ND winning the title back shortly afterwards, you might as well just let them break the record.
