Man them shyts were weak too. Arguably worse. Take away the top 2 teams from each decade and compare the rest of the field. i.e.

‘90s: Bulls, Rockets
‘00s: Lakers, Spurs
‘10s: Heat, Warriors

Nah. ‘08 Celtics aside, the rest is a wash or arguably an edge to the 90s. Even 2010s had the same issues.. strong West, weak East. 2019 and on was when things started to shift, often derailed by injuries tho.

It was a perfect situation. Showtime Lakers ushered them into their run so it was a literal passing of the torch. Other teams just didn’t have the combination of talent and coaching that the Bulls did and they paid their dues.

As a Laker fan, no hurt feelings over the 90s at all cuz for the vast majority of the NBA’s existence we’ve been in the mix. Most stanbases don’t know about that kinda shyt.
