So for $2 billion, Steve Ballmer couldn't somehow get a new team in Seattle?

It was nothing but conspiring hijinks with Al Davis and Georgia Frontiere as owners.. It was a long time ago but two teams left at the same time. And it was the same sh*t as the Sonics.. stadium stadium stadium stadium. Its all good though, carry on

Thats just bad ownership, at least the league tried to make them stay. Similar, not the same.

if you havent watched Sonicsgate documentary, thats a good place to get a basic understanding

Who say Ballmer won't still get his original wish to bring a team back to Seattle:sas1:

...this narrative is nowhere over, yet:sas2:

How many nba owners paid 2 billion dollars for their team?

The question was "who buys a team a team without the arena"...that seems to be quite common.

No marquee franchise has sold in recent years, so none have sold for close to that amount.

The league owners would never approve a move, not under these circumstances. By moving the Clippers, the NBA would essentially tell the fans, Clippers got a new owner, Seattle gets a new team, Sterling getd $2 bil, and you fans lose it all.

1.) not til about 8 years down the line when Ballmer can stomach buying out the last 2 years of the 10 lease (and by Year 5, Seattle begins construction on a new stadium to coincide with this)

2.) how are we even sure Ballmer wants to move the team back to Seattle/gives a shyt to do so? At the end of the day, the Clippers are a business and they stand to make significantly more in LA than Seattle.

Seattle needs to blame Seattle for losing their team and you don't leave the #2 media market with a new tv deal coming for fuking Seattle and who the hell said the lakers were losing money EVER :stopitslime:The LA market itself is the seller 2bill is what it was gonna take and Seattle will have to wait for 2016 and hope for expansion clips will not be moving
