So Golden State/Cleveland is basically the 80s Celtics/Lakers all over again?

Each team has at least 3 Top 20 players, 3 20 PPG scorers & are clearly the best teams in their own conferences. Minus well fast forward the rest of the season to the Finals. :martin:

Not enough history,breh.

Exactly. The Lakers/Celtics rivalry is almost 60 years old and them nikkas have played each other TWELVE times in the Finals. Cavs/Warriors is a great rivalry but they got a long way to go...even to be considered comparable, IMO.

Plus, Knicks got next :smugphil:
Three straight, six in a row at the Garden...:ehh:

Too bad Noah is done....

You can't even really call it a rivalry before the 80s as the C's owned the Lakers. That would be like if the Hawks and Cavs had a legit rivalry 20 years from now and someone tried to add the Cavs steamrollings in recent years to it. If these dudes meet in 3 straight Finals you can put it up there with anybody. These dudes might mess around and make it 4 or 5.

....but that's the thing, though. They have to meet more than TWICE to qualify, IMO. I mean, the Bulls/Jazz met in back-to-back years, but nobody calls them a rivalry.

Just my deux. :manny:

That's because the Bulls won both times. That goes back to my point about LA vs BOS...it ain't a rivalry if one side dominates. You look through history, how many teams have met in back to back Finals while splitting the matchups? Then you add all the bad blood that has built up over the last 2 years and it's kinda hard to deny this one.

casuals gonna casual smh

Golden State has ZERO chance of making the finals with their current roster

These dudes will be destroyed by the Clippers or Spurs in the playoffss. Series will be over in 4 or 5 games.

IT will be Cavs vs Spurs/Clippers in the finals this year.

Cavs will win no matter who they face though, they are BY FAR the best team in the nba.
