(1) When I state stuff like MC Hammer did more for Hip Hop on a GLOBAL scale than Rakim and Big Daddy Kane, I always get that "but but Mc hammer aint really this and that" arguments...

Rap was just straight hardcore when MC Hammer entered the scene. So when this dude came out dancing, people thought that he was corny, this and that. Little known fact, Hammer actually had a lot of haters when he came out, that was new shyt, a rapper come out dancing and choreography and all that shyt. So rappers at the time called him a sellout and dismissed him as commercial as fukk and a pop icon, not hip hop.
Just a little history lesson, the amount of hate for Hammer was mind blowing, believe it or not
