This is my first time playing FF6, and I copped the remastered version.

In that version you can turn off random encounters and/or automate encounters. :lupe:

After beating FF7 without turning off random encounters I have to admit doing so is making FF6 fun and easier to get through.

I auto battle encounters, get exp and items much faster :lupe:

It's not exactly the traditional way it was played on SNES but it speeds things up a lot :lupe:

How do y'all feel about making a games experience easier for the purpose of you enjoying it more? :lupe:

For old final fantasy and rpg games, you kind of have to implement those types of quality of life features into them. It’s the reason i can’t go back and play a lot of them anymore, just the random battles are such an annoying time sink.

for example, having a fast forward feature in FF12, turned it from a game i didn’t originally enjoy or complete to one of my favorites in the series. When you don’t have the tedium of leveling up al your characters and can move at a normal pace its so much better.

but i will say I don’t like when souls-like games have difficulty modes, it makes them feel unbalanced as fukk
