The SC ruling means the state can't add arbitrary standards for people applying for conceal carry. People will still have to pass the FBI background check before they can buy a firearm.

The state was making people prove why they need a conceal carry permit and other random standards which in practice made it virtually impossible for anyone to qualify for a concealed carry license.
