Oh yeah everyday for like the 1st 3 months I was there was damn near a civil war brewing between DMV and Bmore. nikkaz was on edge ready for shyt to jump off. Funny enough all the Bmore peoples was cool as hell with me.
Moms used to tellcus about job corps. I was too old by the time I finally gave it consideration. You gotta live on site right? Got curfew? They got some hoes in there?

I actually wanted to go back and be the IT instructor there. That guy Dirocco saved my life.
Old white dude, cowboy boots and all. I remember first meeting him and him thinking I wasn’t gonna be shyt. I ended up being his favorite student. Taught me a lot of shyt about IT (his son actually taught me a lil more. This nikka was like “of you don’t know how to do something just google it” .. honest to God I still do that shyt till this day). He respected my intelligence level compared to others.
He pulled me aside one day before I was graduating and he was like “OTIS, remember this... you can’t help everybody and you can’t help anybody until you help yourself”
That shyt stuck with me since
