Razer Panthera...I've wanted a fight stick since I saw them with the reemergence of street fighter series with SFIV. I plan to play multiple games and probably some Shumps. What games should I cop? I already have SFV, MK XL, and Killer Instinct. My platform of choice is PC but I do have a PS4 Pro as well. Thinking about maybe Tekken, DBZ, or KOF. I know MK11 is on the horizon as well.

I didn't want to get some basic shyt and just wonder if I should have gotten a quality stick. They probably hold their resale value as well so I could always sell it if it's not something I see myself using long term.

you might made the right the choice, playing fight games a lot will wear out regular game pads, fight stick can take more wear and tear and you can just replace the buttons for like 50 cents when they wear out
SFV and Tekken are the only games worth playing right now, that DBZ shyt is wack,

Which stick did you get? And yes you want a quality one.

I used to be on this wave. Took awhile to get used to the joystick but you're much faster and precise after the learning curve. I eventually sold mine and got out of that life tho. I'm good enough with a pad and I didn't have time to practice all of the stuff I needed to for advanced UMvC3 combos

SF 30th Anniversary is cheap, fun, varied, online, and develop skill that translates to everything else.

Gang violence...
for shmups, play an old one you might be accustomed to, like ikaruga. that will let you know how far away you are from getting good with a stick

Street Fighter 4 era was straight piff.

Those days you had to have a fight stick.

Tekken 6, Blazblue, MVC2 re-release, FF8.

Always used my fight stick didn't matter the game.

These days, Soul Calibur, Mortal Kombat and Tekken are the most practical for playing with fight sticks. Oh and Skullgirls

My SF4 TE stick still performs like new. Quality lasts. You won't regret. As long as you have access to the internals and quality components are interchangeable, you're good.

a couple of my friends have the Panthera, all competitive SF or Tekken players. they all say good things aside from Razer having some quality issues

I play on a hitbox now, but messed around with a Panthera beforehand. its the total package of arcade sticks - good size/weight, easy to mod, even comes with additional parts to customize it to your preference. you did aight

Arcade stick

An what you sellin tha shyt for?

Arcade booth styled controller, used designed for 2d fighters specifically. Much easier, quicker way register controller inputs than a standard gamepad. It's essentially the standard in the competitive FGC.

Prices can range from $60-80 for entry level sticks, $150-200+ for the Gucci stuff.
