SO I Get a Cease N Desist Letter from Kim KARDASHIAN'S People

Ok, I'm still questioning the validity of the email I received this morning from someone claiming to be affiliated with Kim Kardashian. There's an old video I shot two years ago of me and my homey dissing Kim and using portions of her sex tape in it. I forgot about the video but me and my homey started doing new episodes of our show again so I decided to start promoting my old shows on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. This morning I check my email and receive an email from someone claiming to be affiliated with the Kardashian clan ordering me to cease and desist my video or I could face legal repercussions. I don't know if it's valid or not but it said I have a week to comply with their demands. So I guess I'm here to give cats one last look before I do that. Sigh! My lawyer wants to talk to me tomorrow about it on the phone.

THe letter was sent out by a so called law firm. In it the person states there name as Laura Wasser, who after researching is KK divorce lawyer which made me question why would she be handling a copyright infringement case during a heated divorce trial.

L. Wasser isnt sending it out personally, in all likelihood, but she has interns and underlings within the firm who peruse the internet looking for copyrighted material associated with kim k, with particular interest to the sex tape.

They're trying to re-define her image, so any broadcasting of the sex tape, in any fashion will catch their attention real quick.

They want to eliminate as many references to that tape as possible, I would guess --- now are they prepared to take you all the way to court? Probably not...but filing and defending yourself against litigation takes money and effort, and you have to ask yourself is that episode worth the hassle. If the answer is yes --- then leave it up. If no, take it down.

Update, the letter was a fraud. I'm keeping the video up, fukk it. On the plus side I got a meeting with a local real estate investor based off my videos. Dude thought I was hilarious and loved the format, met him at my homies bar a few hours ago. I got a meeting with him Tuesday, he's interested in investing in movies and wanted to see a few of my scripts I was telling him about. He wants me to compile a list of camera equipment I would need to do it. I'm surprised at the overwhelming response I got on Facebook. BTW we discussed Manti T'eo

My attorney verified the letter. He knew a few employees at said law firm. No letter was sent on that office's behalf it was confirmed. He told me I should still take it down so no future transgressions happen but I'm in the clear.
