Hey ya'll
So, in all honesty I recently found out that i'll a little outdated when it comes to the interviewing process, I've been in my current technical role for over a decade now and i'm looking to move on to something new and challenging.
This is also for a technical role at AWS.

Check out Amazon's prep info on the interviewing process and tips. Scroll down and check out all those boxes.
Interviewing at Amazon

Every interview i've had in the past were technical interviews, but lately it's way more personality based.
And i'm cool with that, but recently I got some offers where I felt the interviewing process did not end with them knowing enough of my technical skills.
And that made me pass on a few offers, I can't trust a company like that.

But check out that link man, that's quite serious.
Those are good guidelines to tackle any interview for any company, whether in IT or not.

I heard that unless you were in an office working for Amazon was one step up from slavery.

I can't respect anyone who works for or wants to work for Amazon, Google, or Facebook. :francis:

I gotta an offer from Facebook recently but I turned it down, my friend works for them tho, it’s not as bad and they take care of him really good, unlimited meals around the clock.

Amazon tho :pacspit:

The interviews will have a huge variety based on the role you're applying for, but the overall structure and number of interviews will likely remain the same.

Sometimes you'll skip a few layers and get setup with a good recruiter if you're referred or internally.

Rest up.

Isn't that where most of the bullshyt takes place?

People only complain about the pay at the warehouses, unless your talking about overseas where they are pissing in bottles.
AWS is Amazon web services. Not Amazon warehouse services.

White collar tech jobs. Mostly 6 figure plus except for maybe entry level

I know what it is, I'm saying isnt the white collar work where you hear all the crazy stories?

Inside Amazon: Wrestling Big Ideas in a Bruising Workplace

These kind of stories are usually about the white collar work.

Warehouse is where you hear people complain about not being paid enough or being hired as a temp.

My bad, I misread you.

Most of the devs I know who work there don't seem to have these issues, but it's believable.

In a highly competitive work environment having a bad direct could make life hell.
