I'm sure there are spoilers so I can't read it yet as I'm still early in the game (Level 13), but I'll revisit later.
He mentions the weapon types but the review overall is very general. I didn't catch any spoilers in it. But it's good for you to stay away from anything with potential spoilers because the game has a very good story and the gameplay is a blast. I played and beat it on hard and found it to be a solid difficulty choice leaning towards easy in some instances. Towards the end of the game Aloy will be OP as hell. Horizon is one of my top 5 games this gen easily.

FF15 was a chore to finish up until I got to Chapter 10 and that's where it picked up big time.

I've been having a great time with this shyt so far, actually wanting to play more and more. This shyt is on pace to be in my "special" list so far of games I've played in my life. I hope it doesn't turn shytty.

Nah, IMO the game gets progressively better. The pacing of the story and leveling up is excellent.

edit: Scrolled to the end, but I see you using fireballs as your rating system. I'd use something else breh. Maybe a joystick or something
Yeah if you want to go through it without outside influences I completely understand.
I did my best to avoid big story spoilers because I feel the story is one of the stronger elements
I used Fireballs as an homage to the Fiyastarter crew :yeshrug:
edit: pretty positive initial responses, I'll wait on the grammar crew reviews though.
@Kamikaze Revy yeah you're bugging, she says something maybe every third time she picks up something unless they recently patched it, usually I'll need these for later, or these will be handy later or something like that

As someone who hasnt played the game yet the review didnt really sell me on the game. I dont get what the game is.

You lay out the premise of the story, give a general overview that the gameplay is action oriented and you shoot different types of arrows. OK? Doesnt tell me what kind of game it is. You tell us vast open world....what differentiates it from the other 1000 open world games?

How long does the game last for a casual playthrough? How is the enemy variety? What about your own character, all i know from your review is you got a few different bows. Thats it?

The story is good. OK. But in what way? Character development? Is it a cool journey? Is it driven by a strong villain? Is there a great cast of characters? You dont have to tell me what the story is in order to tell me what kind of a story it is. Is it funny? Is it emotional? Is it filled with twists? Saying its well written doesnt mean anything to me.

Are there good sidequests that give you story or are they fetch quests? Actually....are there even side quests at all? You mention Far Cry esque crafting and nothing else...thats it?

In terms of grammar its fine just that one part "You play as Aloy an inquisitive young woman who was born into the Nora ( a primitive matriarchal tribe, think Native Americans but kind of futuristic) but raised as an outcast."

This sentence bothered me....probably because of the ."but kind of futuristic) but raised as an outcast." LIke its probably grammatically correct but the clash of "buts" in the parenthesis and right outside of it leave the sentence feeling wrong.

So yeah man basically I'd say for people who played the game they will feel you on your review, but gotta remember reviews are mostly for people without the game who are on the fence on whether to buy it or not.

Based on your review I cant tell whether the gameplay is a Ninja Gaiden action game thats level based or Assassins Creed type with an open world. Just way too general.
Thanks for the feed back
I thought I said it was an open world rpg, but apparently i only wrote action rpg
You're right I should clarify why I enjoyed the story line.
I'll also add my playtime to the end of the review.
I think I'll add a brief description of the game type etc at the beginning

Okay
I mentioned the side quest that they were a low point
Outside of the main quest you have various side quest and tasks, unfortunately most of the side quest follow the formula of go to a location and scan for some item or foot prints, have Aloy talk to herself a little, repeat a few times and then fight some robos.
