If you're buying food at a concession stand you lawst :palm:

Those prices are more than ridiculous :scust:
Everything about going to games is absurd nowadays. My dad had jets tickets for 8 years from the mid-late 80's until he early 90's and tickets were $25 each on the upper level. Mid level seats in 2011 were $125 a game. Yankee tickets are kinda affordable since its 81 home games but everything is way too overpriced, especially at the concession stands. It's like going to the movies.

Yep and they check women's purses now so you can't finesse food in stadiums :francis:

The business model as a whole is anachronistic given how comfortable it is to just stay at home and watch. fukk I look like dealing with drunk fans looking for a fight, lines to take a piss, $12 beers, exorbitant parking fees, an hour traffic in and out of the stadium, etc.

This. I used to drive over 200 miles to attend heat games. We didn't have awful fans or anything (game 5 of the 2012 conference finals we did have some jackass in a rondo jersey talking shyt from the opening tipoff until everyone left the arena) and there's a bongos Cuban cafe in the back patio of the arena that's not too expensive, but you need an amazing on court/ice/field product to justify that now. Game 7 of the 2013 eastern conference finals was $165 for nosebleed seats. Me and my girl were gonna go to Knicks vs heat on a Sunday afternoon in Madison square garden in April 2012 and the nosebleeds for a regular season game started at $148, and there are plenty of a$$hole fans in New York City, not to mention the cost of everything in Manhattan. I ain't even gonna talk about the traffic by the garden or the meadowlands (especially after a Monday night game), or by Yankee stadium.

Bruh. Northern NJ lifer. You're preaching to the choir... wouldn't be caught dead at MetLife, Yankee Stadium, Barclays or MSG for a game at this point.

Although I did used to hit Nets game at the Izod Center and Prudential Center on the cheap back in like 2007-2010. $75 tickets for front row Nets/TWolves:mjpls:, that kinda shyt. :manny: It's still an NBA game so I could justify being front row even if I'm watching the likes of Yi Jianlian and Josh Boone:scust:.

Now I ended up in 2014 as part of a group spending the same amount on nosebleeds for a fukking January Nets/Hawks game at Barclay's Center. That place sucks. Viewing angles are trash, expensive as all getout. :pacspit: to all that.

Yeah the building is nice but so much of your view for hockey is obstructed. Islanders tickets are still cheap, but some 1,500 seats don't have a view of the net. They're usually around $30-50 ok stubhub and I only have to walk 5 blocks to catch the train 4 stops to the arena, but it ain't the same as $25 for good seats at the Nassau coliseum. This is Rangers territory. The crowds are always dead for basketball too. Even these last two years Heatwave packed out Barclays. It even pulls big wrestling events away from Madison Square garden (:pacspit: at cokeboy for not having mania or summerslam there at any point in the last decade)

I don't know about the new stadium but even in old Yankee stadium a hot dog was like $5+ about $7 and up for a sausage but I just get that shyt right outside of the stadium from a street vendor. They cheaper and taste better on the street than they do in the stadium :ehh:
