I know you're normally suppose to stick around at least a year but I just can't take it here anymore. I uploaded my resume to indeed and monster and had a few recruiters hit me up, but the distance had me dealing with the worst of LA traffic.

What do I tell an interviewee if the time comes? Keep it real or make up a BS excuse?

Are the jobs you're applying for in the same industry as your current job?

I haven't applied to any gigs. Recruiters have hit me to do sales but I don't think I'm looking to go that route. I'm currently doing Inside sales for a pretty big distributor but its slavery here with no upside. It pays pretty well for starting off, though. But the job gets boring and mundane.

I just had someone contact me this morning to do basically the same thing but its working home which sounds pretty tempting. Looking to reply when I get home.

Headhunters on CB are hit and miss. It's always worth a try speaking to them, especially if you hate your gig, but there's probably more in it for them than for you.

That being said, you can find some companies on CB that'll train you, offer you a (small)base salary + commission, and sometimes benefits after a given period. With ObamaCare going live, now might be a good time to get in the health insurance sales game. Good luck breh.

This job pays out and cuts you loose the day you put your 2 weeks in. And they pay you for those 2 weeks. :steviej:

And the latest inquiry I got was from someone in house.

I have an interview. Anyone have any advice to what I should say when they ask me why I want to leave this current position? Distance isn't much of an issue. Neither is pay. I just hate it here. What can I say?

You shouldn't even be talking about that...you should be talk about why you want their job.

Just tell them although the pay isn't the problem ur looking to work for a company where theirs room for growth (ie. upward mobility)

Even if that's not the truth

Tell them you want a more challenging position or this job is closer to your crib or this company gives you potential to earn more

But what happens if they do happen to ask? I've been at my job for 10 months and I'll be switching to doing something very similiar....but I'll be telecommunitng (:krs:).

The distance doesn't play as an excuse. Neither does the pay. I'm sure they'll definitely ask considering the company I work for is pretty successful.

I can't say I hate working for the company (which is the truth).

Any "job" will be like this. Unless you start your own subtractive business you are pretty much doomed to this cycle. Fukk a job all together
