So I'm listening to this BBC Global News podcast and the issue of gay surrogate parents comes up...

I really am conflicted on this issue:

1. Surrogacy seems incredibly...odd. I get why it exists, especially for barren heterosexual couples, but even as open minded as I like to consider myself, its one thing to think its odd that gays want surrogate kids, above and beyond adoption. Then again, I don't know if i'm AGAINST it as much as I simply am indifferent to the matter.

2. I know most of The Coli has this innate hatred of gays, but for those of you who aren't worried about "teh gayz" what are your thoughts on gays raising kids? Not whether or not you agree with it or would make it illegal, but what do you THINK about it?

I think people should be able to do what they want- gay or not. I understand it. Children need loving parents whether they are heterosexual or homosexual. To me folks get caught up on things that children give no fukks about.

I don't "support" homosexuality. I'm just not against the outlawing of it or chastisement of it. What do you not understand?

Adoption is tough in the States, that's why most people adopt from other places. I have no problem with gays raising a child, because I firmly believe a child should feel wanted. If straight people don't want them, but a gay couple will, then awesome because the child can grow up having parents.

Surrogacy is not iffy for me, but I think they should adopt children first.
