Just got into it when the SNES classic dropped. Lord have mercy:wow:

Mad I didn't play it as a kid but then again, I don't think I would've appreciated it as much as I do now. In fact, I haven't beaten it because I don't want the shyt to be over with

Thats actually what prompted me to create this thread. I came up on a Super Nintendo classic while at Best buy and instantly copped. Last one left too..:wow:

Nothing beats playing super metroid with the OG Super Ninteno controller. MAME clowns will never understand...:banderas:

And I must admit, this is the best game ever created. Even better than super Mario 3.

GOAT game. Genius game design.

We need to appreciate the definitive game more.
It is great. I made a huge mistake and went into the final room lacking on health tanks. But when it fills with the lava the way out closes :mjcry:.

Game was truly amazing for its time. Its still amazing, but the level design and music...really everything about the game was just done with top notch care.

This game is still being poorly mimicked today breh. This game could come out RIGHT NOW and still be considered new and innovative. Again, assuming the entire Metroidvania genre didnt exist...:mjlol:

Only Dead Cells approaches this games piffery, but its still miles behind honestly.

yep, I ran through it again when I got the SNES Classic. it definitely still holds up as one of the best games ever

the atmosphere and music :ohlawd:

and it's just the quintessential 'metroidvania'. it constantly brings you through areas with doors, and other obstacles, you can't get by yet. it never stops your progress, but you just have to make mental notes to come back to these areas. it's like it makes backtracking rewarding
