So I'm Tempted to Watch Chinatown (1970s)....Is It Worth It?

I know this movie gets critical acclaim and always hearing about it but never watched it (kinda like Kramer vs Kramer). So wanted to know, did anyone here watch it and and is worth my time ?

Great movie, John Houston plays one of the best villains of all time. The story, the performances, the dialogue are great. One of the few movies were the ending is not spoiled, and it's over 40 plus years old. The made a sequel but it was inferior.

I always thought Jack Nicholson was a scene chewer especially his later films, but this is one of the few films he tones down his acting tics
