Many moons ago I talked up this feature (around the illumiroom days) but it's finally here. You have to download an app to use it. It's a one time fee of $15 if you like the tech but you get a free month trial to see if you do. Who here had tried it?

My LG tv has this shyt. Theres a demo for it. I swear to god it sounded like surround sound was coming out the tv speaker. Bugged me the fukk out.


Im still rocking with my amp and speakers though. Its probably crazy with a dope setup.

I have a headset. But i dont know if it is compatible with atmos. Havent realy looked into it that much. If it did would probably need an amp that supports it or something

According to what they been saying, no, it works on any stereo headset (stereo = basic)

I'm waiting until I'm in the market for a new receiver, I got about a year and a half left on my Yamaha to be satisfied with getting my money's worth out of it. By then I'll be ready to explore atmos and there should be a decent amount of content then.

What this tech does is turn your regular headsets into better than theater quality super surround sound. You can have that today while you wait for you future setup. shyt is epic when watching a bluray that has a atmos soundtrack

The upmixing for non atmos is kinda hit or miss tho

Like I said, let's say you entertaining and y'all watching something? Then you can break out that new receiver and whatnot

For gaming, 3d sound and a headset is just easier to achieve. So if you playing a first person shooter game you'll hear the bullets come and go. It's not just surround sound but also up and down. It can send sounds in more than just 7.1 directions is what I'm basically saying. Any headset bruh and it'll work. Eat
