it's more overweight families than anything else. don't expect a big, vibrant nightlife. they have they normal beachside activities...go karts, mini golf, etc.

If you can afford to go to Nags Head or Myrtle Beach instead, you should go to either instead. Virginia Beach is kind of weak.

I go to va beach all the time. I live close by. If I'm on the beach most of the time it's at night. Beach weekend is crazy on the strip. Last year I seen like 4 people getting arrested before we even found a parking spot.

Been here for almost half my life now....for a short trip its enough to see/do that you wouldn't be mad you came down here.
Not really that close to VA Beach, but since you mentioned Newport News, hit up Busch Gardens if you can

man ocean city has been poppin the last to years I went. Just went in June and the girls we so thirsty I've never seen so many bachelorette parties with the girls all in there 20s
