If there's no hard evidence (which is moderately easy to get for domestic abuse cases) then anyone with common sense has every reason to doubt it. There is no reason for Kelis to wait 9 whole years after divorcing him when there was nothing Nas can do to stop her from speaking out (if she's telling the truth), yet only bring this up right when Nas about to make $40 million deal. That has bullshyt written all over it.
