So then why is it that some of these organizations continue to focus on how important the PG/SG position is even over PF/C with some of their moves?
I'll link my other thread on this here:

Reason I bring this up is because some of you had the AUDACITY to even SUGGEST that guards are just as important to team success. It's fundamentally against all logic when it comes to basketball. Having a dominant PF or C who can post up, get close to the basket and shooting 50-60% consistently from the field is more important than a flashy guard who distributes the ball. This is complete nonsense and the idea that you have these tall ass 6-10+ power forwards who rather play facing the basket shooting jumpers is more desirable than a low post presence is ridiculous in every sense of the word.
TBH, I don't even think Kentucky is THAT good and I'm a Kentucky fan. The problem is that the lack of size in the post and all these teams focusing on guard play is the downfall of college bball this season. This was one of the most predictable final four picks in recent memory. We all knew Kentucky and Duke were pretty much locks at the final four and the championship game because of Okafor and Towns. The Harrison Twins are borderline NBA players and start on this team...doesn't matter, Kentucky wins by default because of the inside defense and scoring inside...no other team in college ball has that with the exception of Duke. Notre Dame was in the game against Kentucky because Auguste manned up and did work inside, he was the difference in the game. The Guards played damn near perfect, but it was the equalizer inside that really matters. He matched Towns the whole game.
The NBA has already been talked about in my previous thread, I'd love to see what you cats have to say about this. People make it seem like its an unfair advantage that Kentucky has...nah, its because Calipari knew what he could potentially put together. He basically told Towns to stop shooting from the outside, focus on the post. Lyles has a pretty good jumpshot as well and keeps driving it inside. None of this shyt is surprising. Calipari has found the formula...the trend has been established at Kentucky because of the bigs. shyt is like a modern day Georgetown up here.
Oh, and before the Warriors fans come in here to try to bring up team records...be aware that you are looking at an early exit in the playoffs because of having to rely on Lee and Bogut on the inside. If Durant was able to fully recover in time they would have beaten you guys because Kanter along with Durant and Westbrook would be an absolute nightmare for your team.

Didnt read.
Only on the coli would a coach with 22-3 record at UK in the tournament be overrated
