Is the only member for Slaughterhouse that can't put out a solid album. Every other member has arguably at least TWO 3/3.5 albums under their belts except this guy.

As much as he is a Lyrical BEAST, is he bringing the groups overall albums quality down?

Not at all.


He regularly has the best verses on the songs. Low key hes the best part of the group.


The other three constantly phone in verses. Joell was straight embarassing on the shady album.


Hes definitely the weakest as a solo artist even though he has put out some great songs.

Crooks got the biggest what if career of all time. He just hit bad break after bad break.

From his deal on virgin then dpg then death row, dre wanted to sign him etc. Hes put out plenty of great songs. His og aggressive flow when he was on death row was great.

Crooked's solo discography is better than Joell's. Arguably on the same level w/ Royce or Budden but people are more familiar w/ their solo work so I understand why people would consider their work better. (tbh, Budden's probably is)

are all just as good (or better) as anything Royce/Budden/Joell released between 2010-2014, excluding Mood Muzik 4

and Crooked is easily the most consistent member on SH songs/mixtapes/albums. Royce/Joell are the weakest and Budden #2 best.

They had some sort of traction around 2/3 years ago but lost it when that debut completely flopped. Music was below par and they've not been able to recover since.

They became irrelevant when people realized hip hop didn't need to be saved. They started making noise when the ring tone shyt was dying, right when Drake came out. Not saying Drake saved anything but labels started looking for their own Drake after he blew. That opened the door for Cole, Kendrick, KRIT, etc. The underground was also bubbling with Bronson, Spitta, Danny Brown, etc. Marcberg came out a year later in 2010.

Basically hip hop suddenly got way more interesting for both the mainstream and underground. SH became irrelevant, blogs were no longer running stories about them saving hip hop, and all was right with the world.

Without a doubt, because they're a group first. great chemistry and they've improved as songwriters a lot. But SH is still the only group who could do something like Mixtape Monthly as well as HSG have been doing.

still though, Demetrius is to me damn near the most skilled mc in the world right now. him or Crooked. Julius is probably in top 5 or 10 too.

He just signed a solo deal to some label backed by some rich guy. Word is he's recording with Eminem for his solo album. Got this from first hand source, no gossiping or guessing. That doesn't mean the song will ever come out tho.
