In 2 weeks I'm getting a flat screen. I don't have any streaming account, console, or dvd/blu-ray player. I'm probably going to have about a collective $800 (between 2 roomies) to get all the extras. It's not hard to borrow a netflix account, so let's take that as a given.

What would you get in my situation as far as hardware or essential viewing material?

My library right now only includes the following:

-a nightmare on elm street
-purple rain
-chappelle's show-season 2
-the master
-there will be blood
-j. edgar
-a couple seasons of buffy
-resevoir dogs
-army of darkness (vhs; everything else is dvd)

You can go to hulu for free TV.

I was without a TV for over 6 months. This is a long time ago. I ended up going to the movies on the weekends or listening to radio. Yes, listening to radio.

I was gonna give you the :flabbynsick:but your collection is off to a great start but toss that J.Edgar and that VHS in the dumpster...everything else is great
