He can get to the rack. I think part of it is just UCLA's system.I don't even feel like the release is the biggest problem with dude. Outside of transition opportunities he doesn't demonstrates an ability to get to the rack really in the half court game. It's very rare to see him break down college athletes off the dribble and he really has no inbetween game. He has really good defensive instincts, intangibles, and his spot up shot is gonna be money regardless of form but I dunno getting in the paint is like the biggest thing I look for in point guards. Last night he had an isolation play at the top of the key where he beat homie off the dribble(no pick) and took it to the rack. I need to see more of that before I knock Fultz from the top spot, because he legit does a lot of things better than Fultz.
[/quote]I honestly don't see how he gets this jumper off in the league.
Kevin Martin had a awkward form but that didn't stop him from averaging 26ppg. An awkward form can confuse customary defenses.
Being 6'6" and a PG will help him to get the shot off, but it's fukking strange looking.
It's not a quick release though breh and he needs space to get that jumper off. Hence why he goes to that step back 3 so much.
The difference is that players like MGK were horrible shooters in high school, College, and NBA. Lonzo Ball was known as a shooter throughout high school. He's continuing that trend in College by shooting 43% from 3 against longer/athletic defenders. He's quicker, more athletic and better handle than Kevin Martin. He'll be fine in the prosFor every Kevin Martin, and that's few, there are more MKG's out there who's terrible shooting form ends up hindering them offensively
22 points 9 assists and 7 rebounds
Dude is no doubt headed to Philly
