i don't get lupe though. he always mentions he's more of a "street" artist but yet his vibe and songs i've heard always seem more in the vein of a tribe called quest, the pharcyde, common etc. which is cool to me because i like both those groups and artist.

but i just don't see or hear the "street" element to his artistry that he mentions from time to time. it ain't like he makin' records like gucci mane or even lil wayne would. i just don't see him as that kind of artist at all with the music i've heard which has only been his food and liquor album, the cool album and a couple of singles here and there because he lost me after that cool album :shaq2:

however, i'm interested in knowin' what relatively new songs of his are good if this brother was helpin' out with the black album :patrice:

Jigga haters will say he wrote all the lyrically impressive tracks. Warriors will say Lupes contributions were minimal. If we don't know by now we probably never will.

I had a classic :hamster: thread alleging Lupe wrote Lucifer.
