BREHHHSS...I went to the local home depot yesterday to get some drywall, mud, paint etc and come to find out they were damn near out of all the n95 masks SMH. Didn't really trip bc I still have half a box or so at the house but that shyt was kinda shocking. I was curious and went online and it looks like ppl are buying them up and re-selling. Mfers trying to get 20/30 PER MASK

And people need to become educated to the fact that those masks only have an effectiveness of 2-4 hours max. The moisture from you breathing in them causes the fibers to separate giving the germs you're trying to keep out, entry ways.

I'm surprised it took so long. I know some reps at the biggest safety distributors in the US and last month they were having shortages due to businesses and health care facilities panic buying their inventory to the point they are banning exports and rationing local stores/distributors to only what they have typically bought over the last year.

People don't get N95 is a WIDE designation. N95 means it blocks 95% of particles in theory. If it isn't NIOSH approved (should state on the box) you are wasting your money on a glorified coffee filter. Also, surgical masks are mainly to prevent the operator germs from infecting patients, not necessarily being better at keeping germs out.

i find it interesting how this mask shyt all of suddenly became a go-to. i remember wild fires growing up, no masks when the air quality was bad, these past 4 years tho, cats who spend all of 30 minutes a day outside got on masks at the slightest hint of imperfect air quality

People smartened up. I still SMH when I see mfers painting/sanding, doing all kinds of interior demo w/o respirators. Dudes pouring bag after bag of concrete mix into a tub, dust just pluming everywhere. People literally inhaling wood/concrete particles.
