Cripple H already buried it and said it was phony in a interview posted here like two months ago.
Cripple H: So let me get this straight, you think we put him out on TV, he broke f*cking everything we were supposed to do, and then sat down Indian-style and started blistering everybody, and we didn’t think Let’s take him off the air? If that would’ve been a shoot, it would’ve been off the air the second he started.

It's funny, because right before this in that interview he's complaining about fans and some of the talent spoiling things about the business

Let's not let the fact that Cena was always around and booked as a bigger deal than Based Punk, even when Based Punk was champ get in the way of things of why Based Punk wasn't the centerpiece. Bet if Cena was around, D-Bry would be made to look like a bit player or a fluke instead of what he is right now; the hottest superstar on the roster.

The thing is Punk was talking about how he was drawing..bring up phantom Austin dream matches to make himself bigger. Still..it didn't bring up anything big rating wise. Cena was pushed down when Rock and Taker were around..Lesnar too. If you're a real star, you get around all of that. Like Rock did in 1999 when they tried to put him and Foley together and he outdrew the Austin/HHH program.

Cena lost to Daniel Bryan clean. It's only an assumption that Bryan would be a bit player...nothing is factual about that. That's just jealous fans and their insecurities wanting that to be true because he was pushed ahead of Punk his entire reign. Well..Punk fans aren't issuing refunds for him losing the belt from a guaranteed result. Bryan fans are. Just subtle differences.

Don't get me wrong here, I know WWE knew about the promo. I'm not saying it was a shoot. What I'm wondering is: how much of his promo did he have to get approved before going out there? If any at all?

I think I believe them when they said he more or less had free reign to air most of his issues, the WWE ain't stupid they knew that was gonna get that :krs: reaction. ..

they stopped the promo at the Be a STAR stuff because they have that image to protect, Punk was on a roll at that point of the promo and they knew he was gonna say some shyt they couldn't put a smiley face on and label as sports entertainment.
