After all, doesn't Nas owe Def Jam one more album?

I heard some ppl say if Life is Good sold well, then Def Jam would be more apt to release Lost Tapes part 2.....

I remember back when Nas first mentioned Life is Good, he was gonna package Lost Tapes 2 as kind of a double disc set, but it didn't happen.

What are your thoughts on the probability we will see Lost Tapes 2?

For Nas sellin 149K is a win.....especially in this market where he has more older fans now, and not really the teeny bopper crowd

I'm sure it'll drop. Def Jam has GOT to see how Nas's fanbase supports him after 3 STRAIGHT number 1 albums on their label. Lost Tapes 2 could be a low risk/high reward project for all involved. The first Lost Tapes debuted in the top ten and sold 340k, which is damn phenomenal for a compilation of already pirated material. Def Jam says that their in the "Nas Business"? Well then they need to get the business in order and get LT2 released....

Yeah I don't see what can be on the lost tapes except really unheard tracks and the scientist perhaps. But thoses untitled and hhid unrealeased ain't that great and we all got them.

The lost tapes was necessary because at that time them joints were only available on selected mixtapes with dj's yelling on it and LQ, hard to get since internet was not all other the place and not to mention not only they were gems and better than a lot of tracks that made the albums but they were kinda into the same dark mood.

where's the love, roses and trust could have made a perfect base for the lost tapes 2, but since they are on the bonus... Nas didn't intend to drop the first lost tapes, the label did.
If Nas decide to release it and choose the tracks on there, expect the worse.
The nicca is the reason the lost tapes tracks were not in the official albums in the first place, and I heard him say he don't know or have control on what unrealeased track end up in internet. If he drop the lost tapes 2, he'll probably put tracks that we heard a thousand times thinking we never heard em
